The following EdenOnEOS bylaw proposal has been approved via a unanimous vote of the Eden #6 Chief Delegates Lennie Niit and Mohamed Diab Sanchez.
The previously ratified bylaws (proposed by Eden #4 CDs) can be found here.
The bylaw proposal is as follows: (changes from the previous bylaws are highlighted)
Mission Statement: To create value for the EOS ecosystem. The EdenOnEOS DAO is dedicated to increasing the value of the EOS Community by directing its human and financial capital, seeking out and incubating potential value generators, and leveraging its assets to support this endeavor.
The size of an independent EdenOnEOS community shall not exceed 10,000 2,000 members.
Representatives (henceforth known as Delegates shall be elected via the following process:
a) Members are randomly organized into roughly equally-sized groups of ****12 ******or fewer, where total number of groups = population registered participation / average group size.
b) Each group must select a Delegate from their group with greater than 2/3 approval of votes cast and the selected Delegate must vote for themselves.
c) The process shall then repeat, fractally, by randomly grouping the Delegates approved in the previous round of the election, until the final representatives, also known as the Chief Delegates (CD), are chosen.
d) The Head Chief Delegate (HCD) will be selected randomly from the final group of elected CDs. E.G. the final group will not elect the top representative, sortition will.
e) Elected Delegates are responsible to ensure uploading of their Election Group videos completed within 14 natural days from the election day.
f) Members of an Election Group in which there is no consensus will not be held to account if the Election Group video is not uploaded, but are requested to voluntarily take the initiative to upload the video.
g) Transparency NTTs will be awarded recognizing the first member of each Election group to have uploaded their Election Group video after the election, whether or not their group was able to reach consensus and elect a Delegate.
